12 August 2016 – Members of the Samahan ng Magsasaka at Mangingisda ng Nicholas (Association of Farmers and Fishermen of Nicholas) in Magsaysay town, province of Occidental Mindoro are joined by the #Southern Tagalog People’s Response Center (#STPRC) and #action medeor project staff in manually transplanting different varieties of organic rice seedlings on a trial farm.

To cope with #climate change, #farmer technicians are being trained in growing resilient seeds that can withstand drought, flooding and saltwater intrusion and pests. #Organic farming also makes use of organic materials which are environmentally and economically sustainable for the farmers.
