·        The epicenter was located at Tulunan, Cotabato.

·        The strongest ground shaking was felt at Intesity VII in Tulunan, M’lang, Makilala and Kidapawan City in the province of Cotabato; Magsaysay, Matanao, Digos City, Hagonoy and Bansalan in the province of Davao del Sur; and Columbio in the province of Sultan Kudarat.

·        The rest of the municipalities from these provinces experienced Intensity VI and V ground shaking.

·        Small to moderate earthquakes were recorded afterwards.

·        As of Oct. 27, a total of 874 aftershocks were recorded by the DOST-PHIVOLCS seismic monitoring network.

·        The largest aftershock was recorded on Oct. 16, 8:09 pm with a magnitude of 5.5.

·        A magnitude 6.6 earthquake again hit Cotabato on Oct. 29, at 9:04 am.

·        The epicenter was again located at Tulunan, Cotabato.

·        The earthquake was felt at Intensity VII in Tulunan, Makilala, and Kidapawan City in the province of Cotabato; and Malungon in the province of Sarangani; Intensity VI in Davao City, Koronadal City, and Cagayan de Oro City; Intensity V in Tampakan, Suralla, and Tupi in the province of South Cotabato; and Alabel in the province of Sarangani; Intensity IV in Gen. Santos City; and Kalilangan in the province of Bukidnon; Intensity III in Sergio Osmena Sr., Zamboanga City, Dipolog City, and Molave in the province of Zamboanga del Norte; and Talakag in the province of Bukidnon; Intensity I in Camiguin and Mambajao.

·        The shaking lasted up to a minute in some areas, damaging homes, multi-story buildings and classrooms.

·        Electricity and phone services were knocked out by the power of the earthquake.

·        A magnitude 6.5 earthquake again rocked Cotabato and neighboring areas on Oct. 31, 9:11 am.

·        The epicenter was again located in Tulunan, Cotabato.

·        The earthquake was felt at Intensity VII in Tulunan and Kidapawan City in the province of Cotabato, and Bansalan in the province of Davao del Sur; Intensity VI in Matanao in the province of Davao del Sur; Intensity V in Malungon in the province of Sarangani; Intensity IV in Kiamba and Alabel in the province of Sarangani, Tupi in the province of South Cotabato, Koronadal City, and Gen. Santos City; and Intensity III in Gingoog City and Cagayan de Oro City.

·        As of Oct. 22, 2019, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council confirmed that 7 people died and 215 were injured in the Magnitude 6.3 earthquake on Oct. 16.

·        More than 25,000 are reportedly affected wherein more than 8,000 people are still displaced.

·        A total of 2,065 houses were damaged while 482 were destroyed.

·        Other damaged infrastructures include 437 schools, 36 health facilities, 16 commercial operations, 12 roads and bridges, 16 places of worship, and 76 other public infrastructures.

·        More than 2,000 laborers with below minimum wage lost their jobs due to the fire that hit Gaisano Mall.

·        On Oct. 25, it was reported that at least 700 families from hinterland villages still remain at the evacuation sites in Kidapawan City.

·        After the Magnitude 6.6 earthquake on Oct. 29, the national government reported 44,000 affected people, 14 dead, 609 injured, and around 15,000 people are staying inside and outside evacuation centers.

·        The NDRRMC reported that a total of 1,681 families (8,405 persons) were affected in 3 villages in SOCCSARGEN. Seven hundres one of these families (3,505 persons) are at the Brgy. Ilovamis evacuation center, while 980 families (4,900 persons) are being served outside evacuation centers.

·        The NDRRMC said the earthquake had also resulted in “minor cracks” on 133 buildings across the regions of Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Davao, SOCCSARGEN and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao. Ninety-four of these are schools, 11 health facilities, 20 private and commercial establishments, 7 other public structures, and 1 place of worship.

·        The NDRRMC also recorded 394 injured persons from the provinces of Lanao del Norte, Bukidnon, Davao del Sur, Cotabato, South Cotabato, Sarangani and Sultan Kudarat.

·        The DepEd reported that 1 student died, while 78 others and 2 school personnel were injured.

·        Two hundred schools sustained infrastructure damage in Zamboanga, Northern Mindanao, SOCCKSARGEN and BARMM.

·        Almost 7,000 schools and over 3,000,000 students in Northern Mindanao, Davao, SOCCKSARGEN, and BARMM were also affected as classes were suspended after the earthquake.

·        In Brgy. Banayal, Tulunan, Cotabato, a pregnant woman died due to a landslide in Sitio Alimodian, while 2 persons were slightly injured.

·        In Brgy. Daig, Tulunan, Cotabato, 8 pupils were injured and classes were interrupted affecting 197 students due to the collapse of 9 classrooms.

·        The evacuees in Brgy. Malawanit, Magsaysay, Davao del Sur are sick and 2 children were hospitalized due to diarrhea and vomiting. Eighty-eight displaced families who are staying in tents are experiencing extreme heat. Sixty-seven families (340 individuals) are isolated due to landslide in Purok 6.

·        In Brgy. Tagaytay, Magsaysay, Davao del Sur, 1 person died due to landslide in Sitio Asbangelok. One hundred sixty-three families are in tents, staying outside school grounds of Brgy. Balnate due to fear of structure collapse.

·        Tha Magsaysay Municipal Office reported that a total of 867 families (1,571 individuals) are staying in 8 evacuation centers.

·        Two persons are missing in Brgy. Upper Bala, Magsaysay due to landslide.

·        After the Magnitude 6.5 earthquake today, it was reported that 99% of the structures in Brgy. Daig, Tulunan, Cotabato, and several more covered courts and government health centers across the town were damaged.

·        Fourteen patients from Father Tulio Favali Municipal Hospital are taking shelter in the open ground hallways.

·        In Kidapawan City, a hotel in front of the city hall was flattened to the ground, severely injuring several people.

·        In Malawanit, Tulunan and Makilala, Cotabato, more than 600 families are affected.

·        In Brgy. Malabuan,Makilala, North Cotabato, 511 families are temporarily staying in tents.

·        A landslide covering 31 hectares is ongoing as of this writing, isolating Brgy. Bato and Brgy. Malungon in Makilala. Two persons were injured and 2 were reported missing.

·        In Brgy. Malawanit, Tulunan, a 5-year old child was injured and was rushed to the hospital.

·        As of Nov. 2, the NDRRMC reported that at least 21 people died from the earthquakes, 16 were from Cotabato.

·        Three hundred thirty-two people were reported injured (Lanao del Norte – 8; Bukidnon – 6; Davao del Sur – 11; Davao City – 4; Davao del Norte – 1; Cotabato – 257; South Cotabato – 40; Saraggani – 3; Sultan Kudarat – 1; Maguindanao – 1).

·        At least 2 people remained missing in Davao del Sur.

·        A total of 28,224 infrastructures were destroyed in Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, Soccksargen, and BARMM.

·        The most affected were 20,921 houses that were totally damaged while 6,429 were partially damaged.

·        There were 75 schools that were partially destroyed while 2 were totally damaged.

·        Some 36 health facilities were partially destroyed.

·        In Makilala, Cotabato, there are 38 affected barangays, 20,704 households who evacuated, 18,997 totally damaged houses, 1,707 partially damaged houses, 8 missing individuals, and 6 casualties.

·        Brgy. Garsika in Makilala now has 404 affected families. Water is scarce. Evacuees have to go up the damaged reservoir to fetch water. Heat during day time and cold air at night begin to affect the health of children.

·        The Ladies’ Dormitory of MISFI Academy in Brgy. Batang, Tulunan, Cotabato was destroyed by the earthquakes. A total of 143 students were affected. Romie Fuerte, a Grade 4 student, was injured.

·        Water lines in Makilala and Kidapawan City were destroyed.

·        In Magsaysay, Davao Del Sur, a total of 1,135 families are staying in 9 evacuation centers (Malawanit – 56, Upper Bala – 177, Balnate Manggahan – 236, Balnate Elem. School – 108, San Miguel Gym – 59, Maibo – 107, Bacungan – 122, San Miguel Elem. School – 140, Tacul – 130).

·        As of Nov. 5, the International Federation of Red Cross reported that more than 180,000 people are affected with many families requiring humanitarian assistance.

·        The NDRRMC reported that over 400 people were injured and an estimated more than 35,000 people displaced.

·        According to Vice Gov. Shirlyn Villanueva, there are 20,700 displaced families in Makilala, Cotabato. Around 15,000 of them are staying outside evacuation centers, according to MSWDO Lina Canedo.

·        CDRC and DIRECT reported that evacuation centers are very disorganized, without water and comfort rooms.

·        In Brgy. Loayon, Makilala, Cotabato, more than 600 families evacuated and houses were totally damaged. A lot of areas were affected by landslides.

·        In Brgy. Kisante, Makilala, Cotabato, 1,413 households were affected, 678 families are in evacuation centers. A 2-story building school was partially damaged, along with 600 houses.

·        In Purok Patong, Sitio Balawan, Malasila, 2 people (Rolando Ansero, 14; amd Rosalino Dayday, 53) were buried in a landslide. Their bodies have not been retrieved. A 9-year old child, Rayom Picao, was aloso buried in the landslide.

·        In Brgy. Luayon, 3 people died in a landslide (Patricio Lumayon, Tessie Alacayde, and Rommel Galicia)

·        On Nov. 6, MISFI reported that 55 families from Batang will not be able to go back to their homes, Sitio Lambusong in the said barangay is now a no man’s land.

·        The MISFI team coordinated with the Mayor’s Office and the Municipal DRRMO of Tulunan, and MDRRM Council of Magsaysay.

·        On Oct. 21, CDRN regional center in SOCCSARGEN, Disaster Response Center, Inc. (DIRECT), conducted DNCA in unserved and underserved communities in 3 barangays of Magsaysay in Davao del Sur, and of Tulunan and Makilala in Cotabato.

·        In the evening of Oct. 29, the rapid assessment team of MISFI visited the Municipal Office of Magsaysay, Davao del Sur to get situational updates.

·        On Oct. 30, DIRECT coordinated with Barangay Officer Jojo Ortizo of Tulunan Municipal Incident Command Post.

·        Through the support of Mercy Relief Singapore and CDRC, MISFI was able to provide emergency hot meals to 76 families (281 individuals) in 2 evacuation centers in Brgy. Malawanit and Brgy. Bacungan in Magsaysay, Davao del Sur.

·        On Oct. 31, DIRECT, in partnership with CARE Philippines, conducted rapid assessment in Brgy. Batang, Tulunan in Cotabato.

·        Also in partnership with CARE Philippines, DIRECT distributed 20 tents to affected families in Cotabato (10 in Brgy. Malabuan and 10 in Brgy. Batang). They also distributed rice to 430 families in Brgy. Malabuan.

·        On Oct. 31, a total of 81 families in Brgy. Malabuan, Makilala in Cotabato received hot meals from DIRECT in partnership with Mercy Relief Singapore.

·        On Oct. 31, MiSFI, in partnership with CARE Philippines distrusted 5 kilos of rice each and 200 meters of tent to 57 families in Brgy. Malawanit, Magsaysay in Davao del Sur. In Brgy. Bacungan, they distributed 3 kilos of rice each to 143 families.

·        On Nov. 2, a total of 85 families in Brgy. Batang, Tulunan in Cotabato received hot meals from DIRECT in partnership with Mercy Relief Singapore.

·        On Nov. 3, MISFI, in partnership with A-PAD, distributed relief packages to 487 families (Malawanit – 77, Bacungan – 410). The package includes blanket, food items (loaf bread, biscuits, canned goods, water), hygiene kit (2 bath soap, 2 laundry soap, mosquito repellent lotion, shampoo, 2 toothbrush, 2 toothpaste, rubbing alcohol).

·        On Nov. 5, CDRC, MISFI, and A-PAD Davao checked in at the Makilala Incident Commad Center.

·        On Nov. 5, A-PAD distributed relief goods to residents of Brgy. Luayon who evacuated to Makilala Elementary School.

·        On Nov. 7, MISFI was able to distribute food and non-food items in Sitio Asbang Elok, Bacungan, Magsaysay, Davao del Sur; Purok 7, Sitio Blasan, Malawanit, Davao del Sur
