The Citizens’ Disaster Response Network (CDRN) held a forum on Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction last Dec. 1-5, 2009 at the CDRC Training Center in Quezon City. This was attended by the Executive Directors of the 17 Regional Centers all over the country. The guest speakers were Dr. Rosa Perez of the Inter-Governmental Panel on Climate Change, Ms. Maria Finesa Cosico of the Philippine Climate Watch Alliance, Mr. Tommy Bouchiba of Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe, and Mr. Benjie Oliveros of www.bulatlat.com. The forum discussed ways on how to reduce vulnerabilities to climate change and disaster impacts.
