Civic Force, a non-profit organization in Japan, donated US $10,000 for the victims of Tropical Storm Sendong (Washi) in the Philippines.
Civic Force immediately mounted a campaign for donations after the December 16, 2011 floods and landslides in Northern Mindanao and Central Visayas where more than 1,000 people died.
The survivors, who were left homeless, are staying in evacuation centers. They are in dire need of food and non-food support.
The local NGO Citizens’ Disaster Response Center and its Regional Centers Panday Bulig (PB) and Center for People’s Resources and Services (CPRS), are currently undertaking the Relief Delivery Operation in the affected areas.
