If someone were to total the damages incurred from back-to-back storms Ondoy (Ketsana) and Pepeng (Parma), it would be an impossible task. This is because a lot of the damages are not easily measured, and therefore often goes unnoticed. One forgotten part that is not often addressed during and after disasters; are the effects traumatic experiences have on children.

Photo Gallery: Community Based Disaster Management Orientation in Bagumbayan
On March 17, CDRC visited Bagumbayan to see some of the homes affected by Typhoon Ondoy and Pepeng. The community was spotted with blue tarpaulins, signifying that repairs to damaged buildings were not yet complete. After touring the community, CDRC conducted a community-based disaster management orientation to a full audience of interested individuals.
