CDRC and the Center for People’s Resources and Services (CPRS) in Negros Oriental conducted relief delivery operations (RDO) in Barangays Candau-ay and Camanjac in Dumaguete City last December 30, 2011 for the families affected by Tropical Storm Sendong. This was supported by Caritas Switzerland.

The 6.9 magnitude earthquake last February 6 caused landslides in Negros Oriental. Brgy Planas was one of the communities severely affected. There were 26 people killed, while 12 others remain missing. Most of the people have not yet returned to their homes for fear of aftershocks.
