CDRC conducted an Evacuation Center Management training for the Mayon evacuees in Albay with the help of its regional center Tarabang Para sa Bicol (TABI), and four Social Work students from Bicol University. Pamphlets of health and sanitation were distributed, and large murals on what to do during ash falls were mounted in strategic places in the affected communities. This was supported by Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe.

CDRC and its regional center in the National Capital Region, the Community Response for Enlightenment, Service and Transformation (CREST), immediately responded to the appeal of the residents who lost their homes to two successive fires in Manila, one in Baseco Compound in Tondo, and another in Paco.
