“The old wineskins are bursting!” To declare our CDRN Citizens Disaster Response network members as communist terrorist groups is a brazen lie! Those who announced this are desperate, like a dying beast, peddling false information to get what they want.

 

CDRN, with its 17 member organizations all over the Philippines, has been serving poor and vulnerable communities for more than 3 decades. Our beneficiaries from all the Philippine regions can attest to our track record of integrity, dedication and unconditional service. CDRN member organizations have been recipients of government awards from DND, DSWD, NEDA. Most members are also active in the private sector and government councils. CDRN members continue to complement government efforts at poverty alleviation and Disaster Risk Management…is this the new definition of TERRORIST?

 

As humanitarian and development workers, we hold our ground and stand by the poor sectors we serve. No amount of harassment and threat can make us cower in fear. Along with our local and international partners, we will pursue our mission until justice and peace are achieved! ##
