On Sunday April 25, at around 3 pm a massive fire spread through the densely populated community of Barangay Damayang Lagi, located near the corner of E.Rodriquez and Araneta Ave (Inquirer.net) It was reported by the BBC that as many as 600 homes were destroyed, leaving more than 7000 individuals homeless. The Inquirer reported today that there has been one confirmed death caused by the incident.
