Overall Situation
• Typhoon Ambo left the Philippine Area of Responsibility on May 18.
Reports on Affected Populations
• As of May 20, a total of 96,335 families (from the previous 60,285) or 366,434 persons (from the previous 218,400) are affected in 259 cities/municipalities (from the previous 173) in 8 provinces (from the previous 36) of CALABARZON, Region VIII, II, I, and CAR.
• A total of 54 persons were injured in Regions III and VIII.
• A total of 2 bridges and 6 road section in Regions II, CALABARZON, VIII, and CAR were reported not passable. Of which, 1 bridge and 2 road sections remain not passable.
• Areas in the cities of Mandaluyong and Malabon were reported but already subsided.
• 138 structures (from the previous 95) were reported damaged in Regions V and VIII of which, 9 are health facilities.

• DepEd reported a total of 126 damaged schools (from the previous 75) in Regions I (10), II (12), III (5), CALABARZON (13), MIMAROPA (2), V (49), VIII (22), and CAR (13).
• A total of 11,052 houses were damaged (from the previous 7,459) in Region VIII (1,905 totally damaged/9,147 partially damaged).
• A total of 263 areas (from the previous 255) in 20 provinces (from the previous 18) of Regions III, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, V, VIII, and NCR experienced power line interruption. Of which, power in 118 areas (from the previous 63) was already restored.
• There are no reported strandees and ports already resumed operations in CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Regions V, ad VIII.
• A total of P1,160,053,459 worth of damages were incurred in Regions II, CALABARZON, V, VIII, and CAR.

• A total of 46,282 families (from the previous 34,675) or 181,158 persons (from the previous 136,100) were pre-emptively evacuated in 1,303 RCs in Regions II, III, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, V, VIII, and CAR.

• On May 15, CDRC started releasing its Situation Reports.
• LCDE also submitted its Situation Report.
