Overall Situation
• Typhoon Ambo left the Philippine Area of Responsibility on May 18.
Reports on Affected Populations
• As of May 21, a total of 92,277 families (from the previous 96,335) or 382,739 persons (from the previous 366,434) are affected in 276 cities/municipalities (from the previous 259) in 8 provinces (from the previous 36) of CALABARZON, Region VIII, II, I, and CAR. Evacuation centers reported are now closed and there are no more displaced/evacuated families/persons.
• A total of 54 persons were injured in Regions III and VIII.
• A total of 2 bridges and 6 road section in Regions II, CALABARZON, VIII, and CAR were reported not passable.
• Areas in the cities of Mandaluyong and Malabon were reported but already subsided.
• 305 structures (from the previous 138), including school and health facilities, were reported damaged in Regions V and VIII.

• DepEd reported a total of 289 damaged schools (from the previous 126) in Regions I (9), II (15), III (20), CALABARZON (52), MIMAROPA (3), V (105), VIII (62), and CAR (23).
• A total of 16,993 houses were damaged (from the previous 11,052) in Region VIII (3,079 totally damaged/13,914 partially damaged) in Regions III and VIII.
• A total of 265 areas (from the previous 263) in 20 provinces (from the previous 18) of Regions III, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, V, VIII, and NCR experienced power line interruption. Of which, power in 129 areas (from the previous 118) was already restored.
• There are no reported strandees and ports already resumed operations in CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Regions V, ad VIII.
• A total of P1,160,053,459 worth of damages (from the previous P1,160,053,459) were incurred in Regions II, III, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, V, VIII, and CAR.

Emergency Response Efforts
• On May 15, CDRC started releasing its Situation Reports.
• LCDE also submitted its Situation Report.

• Prepositioned goods at the CDRC warehouse
Expressed Needs
• Immediate needs of the survivors include hygiene kits, water, medicine, cash, shelter kit, food, and psychosocial support to both children and adults.
